Windowfarm update for this week. I re-attached everything to the airlift tube over the weekend and now the water is working correctly. My chard is downright heroic looking, as is the basil. That particular pack of lettuce seed continues to disappoint me, itself, and others. I should give up on the sweet pea, but I just don’t have the heart to kill it. It’s not dead yet- it’s only mostly dead.

Lettuce seedlings with one basil seedling. Very professional set-up, right?
Window farmers in NY or San Francisco?
Window farmers, I received a message from a French journalist associated with Shamengo.com. Their blog highlights social and environmental innovation, and they are looking for some window farm users to showcase in NY and San Francisco. Are you one of those? Do you know any of those? Please get in touch with me!
Day 6. It’s been almost a week of cheerleading, adjusting the pump, and chatting merrily to and about my sprouts.
Some shots from today and one from yesterday. I promise to quit posting pictures of my lettuce every day for awhile.
It shouldn’t bubble so much, but frankly I love the sound. It’s like I live in a mad scientist’s lab.
Edit: Sonuvabitch, it shouldn’t be horizontal. Grr, tumblr.
