I just got home from the National Conference on Health Communications, Marketing, and Media in Atlanta. I’m full of tons and tons of thoughts- I took a lot of notes and read and wrote a lot of tweets. I’m pretty excited and have some ideas on what kind of jobs I want to start looking for this fall.

Anyway, I’ll write more soon about it. Consider this a placeholder while I decompress and take care of my real-world responsibilities.

Why are we looking for flu when flu season is over in the Northern Hemisphere? Two reasons.
Influenza Pandemics can, and often do, start in the spring and summer. (Remember H1N1?!? The pandemic started in April!)
In science, a negative result is just as important as a positive result.
PS: That’s ME in the picture, looking my flu-ey best!

Oh, this is right up my alley.
