Paleo Challenge, Snow Flow in February, and Feelings of Accomplishment.
I felt guiltily lazy today, like I had gotten nothing done, but I finished watching my biostatistics lecture, I went for a walk to the store with Dan and bought groceries, I made a great dinner and also made some food to put aside for tomorrow, and I cleaned the guinea pig cage. It’s a pretty nice Sunday.
I’m starting a 45-day paleo challenge/Whole 30 tomorrow: no dairy, no grains, no sugar, no potatoes, very little alcohol except for the occasional red wine. I’m actually really excited. I made a paleo-compliant dinner for my boyfriend and me tonight (and we drank bourbon because the bottle had to go). I thought I would be trepidatious, but really I just can’t wait to see how the experiment goes. Will it improve my athletic performance? Will it decrease my occasional not-quite-sick-feelings?
I’m going to Snow Flow in Kentucky soon and staying with a friend I don’t know super-well, but who I think the world of. I’m taking a silks class and a lyra class, and I might take a fan-dancing class. I’m excited about that too! I’ve promised myself that I will get more involved with aerial stuff and belly-dancing and feel comfortable enough to perform in front of people by the end of the year.
A couple of my photos from the trapeze workshop last weekend.
